Dr. Nikki Robinett, PT, DPT, Owner

Dr. Nikki, a dedicated physical therapist with 8 years of experience, has specialized in pediatrics for 5 years. Originally from Minnesota, she’s been in Arizona for 11 years. Her passion for children stems from years of babysitting and nannying, and she was drawn to physical therapy after her father experienced a life changing injury. Dr. Nikki pursued her education at ASU-Tempe, earning an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, and later completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Regis University in Denver, CO.

In her career, Dr. Nikki has treated diverse patients in various settings, including outpatient, aquatic, school and home health. She’s worked with infants discharged after just 1 day in the NICU to varsity athletes returning from injuries. Dr. Nikki founded M&G with a mission to share her expertise quickly and conveniently, with a large focus on mom guilt. She aims to reach families in need, offering mobile and virtual services to avoid disruptions and long wait times.

Dr. Nikki’s approach includes hands-on classes for families to understand their child’s development, strategies for success, and handling (“prehab”) techniques. She’s working towards nonprofit work to serve families in shelters, bridging healthcare disparities. Her classes are inclusive, encompassing children of all abilities, including those with special needs. Whether through private sessions or group classes, Dr. Nikki ensures caregivers feel confident in implementing interventions and helping their child thrive.

Why Choose Us

Moving and Grooving pediatric physical therapy (M&G) provides skilled physical therapy services in your home, pool or community park. Scheduling is flexible and includes before, during and after work hours. We offer flexibility with the frequency of visits based on your child’s success, and have no minimum for a visit count

We use patient friendly language over jargon so that you know what the PT’s concerns are, what we are accomplishing with our interventions, and the results we see. We want you to be able to explain this to everyone you share your child’s success with, without worrying if “you’re saying it right.” We provide interventions that are patient specific, modified to ensure the most comfort for the child and caregiver. We meet you and your child where they are at and celebrate the small gains they make each time we meet, and focus on progress rather than “what they’re supposed to be doing.” We ensure that you demonstrate and feel confident with techniques that we teach you in session, and encourage taking videos and photos to reference when your PT is not there. Each child is different, so each therapy session is, as well. We do not implement a cookie cutter approach. We provide necessary tools for success and recommend household items and/or items for purchase that will facilitate positioning and play that will set your child up for continued success.

Pediatric physical therapy is an excellent tool to utilize for your child’s development. We provide interventions such as parent education, stretches, exercises, positioning, massage, as well as incorporating toys and equipment to enhance your child’s overall development.

In addition to our physical therapy services, is our provision of  group education classes from pre birth through early childhood, focusing on ‘prehab,’ or what you can do now to catch potential red flags earlier, know when it is the right time to seek out therapy services, and how to enhance your child’s current development. These classes are sometimes hosted with a women’s health physical therapist, speech therapist, feeding therapist, occupational therapist, or pediatrician. Classes are held at local facilities throughout the Valley and can also be booked privately for your group of friends. Your child is welcome at these classes, as there are opportunities for hands-on learning
