At Moving and Grooving Pediatric Physical Therapy, we understand the challenges and concerns parents face when their child isn’t meeting developmental milestones. From the moment your baby tries to hold their head up to taking their first steps and beyond, we’re here to help make those milestones a reality. Our mission is to assist children in meeting their milestones, one day at a time, while alleviating parental stress and “mom guilt.”
We are dedicated to optimizing the physical well-being and development of children through our in-home and clinic based pediatric physical therapy and occupational therapy services. Our focus is on fostering healthy growth and functional abilities by designing customized treatment plans that address areas such as gross and fine motor skills, balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility. We build trust and rapport with your child first, to make it easy for them to follow our guidance and suggestions. We value short term progress with long term goals. We believe that keeping a child regulated and a parent informed is the key to success in pediatric therapy.
Accommodating Schedules: We offer during and after school appointments, and even Saturdays upon request, providing convenience and comfort for your child’s therapy sessions.
Tailored Interventions: Our interventions are tailored to each child’s unique needs, celebrating their progress and focusing on achievable gains. We empower caregivers with techniques and support beyond the session, including video recordings and photos.
Comprehensive Care: We avoid a one-size-fits-all approach, offering parent education, exercises, stretches, massage, positioning, and play-based activities. We also provide group education classes focusing on “prehab” and optimizing your child’s development.
Flexible Appointment Location: We conduct appointments at our clinic, online, or in your home, pool, or community park, ensuring a comfortable and familiar environment for your child’s therapy sessions.
Free Consultation: Done via phone, this allows you to discuss your concerns and determine if physical or occupational therapy is appropriate for your child. You are welcome to pre-send pictures or videos to better explain movement patterns, posture, head tilt, and skull symmetry. This appointment lasts 15 minutes.
Evaluation: This in-person or virtual appointment with the doctor (physical or occupational therapist) reviews your child’s past medical history, current concerns and abilities. Based on the results, you'll discuss goals for your child's development, home exercise programming, as well as the plan of care that entails the frequency of visits. This appointment lasts ~75 minutes.
Ongoing Appointments: These sessions review the previous session’s interventions, track progress, and make modifications to reach your child’s goals. In home sessions last 60 minutes; clinic & virtual appointments last 55 minutes.
To determine if physical or occupational therapy is appropriate for your child, schedule a free 15-minute appointment via phone.
At Moving and Grooving Pediatric Physical Therapy, we are committed to providing comprehensive and specialized care for children of all ages, empowering them to reach their full physical potential in a supportive and engaging environment.
